Description:

Making Space: Artist \ Caregivers in Conversation \ MOTHRA Artist Parent Project’s Sarah Cullen and Artist Michelle Wilson

Join Sarah Cullen and Michelle Wilson for a dynamic conversation about reimagining art-making as a collective, community-centered practice.

Sarah Cullen, founder of the internationally recognized MOTHRA artist-parent residency program at Gibraltar Point Centre for the Arts (Toronto Island), explores how including children transforms contemporary art practice.

Michelle Wilson, queer neurodivergent artist, mother, and founder of London's Artist Caregiver Collective, discusses collaborative and anti-colonial care work that rejects individualistic conceptions of the artist and her experience as a former MOTHRA participant.

Families are welcome to arrive and leave as needed. All sessions will be accessible for late arrivals. All spaces are family-friendly with continuous access to hands-on activities (books/toys/colouring). Drop-off babysitting service is available.
